On October 20, 2011, President Benigno Aquino III signed Proclamation No. 277 which declared the third week of March and October as Design Week Philippines. Its national agenda is to hone the creativity and design capability of Filipinos to give way to trade opportunities. Exporters from different parts of the world toured the DTI-NCRO Marikina which provides shared service facilities and technical business development services to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
